Apple is getting ready to launch a series of new products in early 2026, including upgraded iPads, MacBooks, and a more affordable version of its next-generation smartphone, the iPhone 17e. Reports suggest that this budget-friendly iPhone will feature Apple’s new A19 processor.
According to Mark Gurman, Apple plans to release a wide range of devices. These include new MacBook models, updated versions of iPad and iPad Air, and a Mac monitor. The iPhone 17e, expected to be a successor to the iPhone 16e, will offer a lower price point while maintaining a similar design and improved performance.
MacBook Air and Pro
Initially expected in 2025, the next versions of the MacBook Pro and Air, powered by Apple’s upcoming M5 chip, are now scheduled to arrive in early 2026. This delay is part of Apple’s ongoing strategy to maintain steady income growth through regular hardware upgrades.
What to Expect from Apple in Late 2025
Before the 2026 rollout, Apple’s classic drop event will bring the launch of the iPhone 17 series, the Apple Watch Series 11, and possibly an updated Vision Pro headset. The company is also working on refreshing its low-end iPad, which is expected to be introduced around March 2026 with a faster chip.
The iPad Air could get a performance boost with Apple’s newer M4 chip, replacing the M3 in the current version. Apple typically sticks to a consistent release schedule for its iPhones, with new models announced during the same time each year, usually within a week’s variation. After the official reveal at a major launch event, the devices generally become available about 10 days later.
This pattern has held constant over recent years. Here are the past iPhone announcement dates:
- 2024: Monday, September 9
- 2023: Tuesday, September 12
- 2022: Wednesday, September 7
- 2021: Tuesday, September 14
Looking at this trend, it’s likely that Apple will introduce the iPhone 17 series sometime during the week of September 8.
Codenamed V159, the iPhone 17e is expected to launch by February 2026. While its design will likely be similar to the iPhone 16e, it may feature the A19 processor, aligning it with the rest of the iPhone 17 lineup. Apple is also preparing to release new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models (internally labeled J714 and J716) powered by the M5 chip. New MacBook Air models are also on the way, expected in the first half of 2026.
In addition to these devices, Apple is developing a smart home hub. Originally planned for release in 2025, the hub’s launch was delayed due to design changes, particularly its heavy dependence on Siri. It’s now expected to be introduced sometime in early 2026.
