VinFast, the Vietnamese electric car manufacturer, is getting ready to launch its all-electric VF6 and VF7 models in India. As part of the lead-up to the launch, the company has showcased these vehicles at various locations, including a mall in Chennai. These two SUVs were earlier seen at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and have since been spotted undergoing tests on Indian roads.
In addition to Chennai, VinFast has taken the VF6 and VF7 to cities like Hyderabad, Delhi, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Lucknow. These displays allow visitors to get a closer look at the design and interiors of both models before they officially hit the market.
The VinFast VF6 is equipped with a 59.6 kWh battery and comes in two variants. The Eco version offers 174 hp and 250 Nm of torque, while the Plus version boosts performance to 201 hp and 310 Nm. As for range, VinFast claims the VF6 can go up to 480 km in Eco mode and 460 km in Plus mode.
Also, the VF7 features a larger 75.3 kWh battery. It also has Eco and Plus versions, producing 201 hp and 309 Nm in Eco mode and 348 hp with 499 Nm of torque in the Plus version.
Design-wise, the VF6 stands out with its sleek, rounded shape. It features LED daytime running lights (DRLs) shaped like eyebrows, which narrow toward the central ‘V’ logo. The front grille has a honeycomb pattern with wide air vents and black cladding, giving it a tough, modern look. The rear sports an LED strip similar to the front, along with a sloping roof that improves its aerodynamic appeal.
The VF7 shares some design elements with the VF6 but also brings its style. It has a distinctive “V”-shaped LED DRL in the centre of the hood, along with a split LED headlight setup. Additional features include a 360-degree camera and front parking sensors, adding more functionality and safety.
